In our clinic, we perform a wide range of dental surgery, from a simplest tooth extraction to more complex surgery, such as surgical removal of wisdom teeth, dental root resection or reconstruction of bone and maxillary sinus lift. Using the latest available technology we offer you treatment significantly different from what it used to be.
All surgical procedures are carried out using a microscope, which reduces the invasiveness of the procedures, eliminates the need for large incisions of tissues and ensures the safety of patients.
The clinic is equipped with X-ray imaging devices allowing for monitoring of all actions. Dental Corner also has a modern, precise CT scanner that allows to get a complete picture of the patient’s tissues. CT is particularly useful in complex procedures that require accurate diagnosis. CT is a routine performed before implantation, bone reconstruction, the maxillary sinus lift or removal of a wisdom tooth.
For the comfort of our patients, all treatments are performed under local anaesthesia, but more sensitive individuals can take advantage of inhaled nitrous oxide or general anaesthesia. After the treatments patients receive sets of ice packs, proper medication and complete information on how to proceed and follow-up visits.
Removal of wisdom teeth
Surgical removal of the tooth is always preceded by a thorough diagnosis. On the basis of panoramic X-ray images, the physician evaluates whether the tooth should be extracted by a standard method or it requires the surgical method.
Surgical removal of wisdom teeth begins with the precise computed tomography. It gives information on the localization of tooth roots, their distance from nerves and maxillary sinuses. The surgical removal of a wisdom tooth is held under a microscope, which provides delicacy and allows to protect the soft tissue and bone adjacent to the tooth.
The maxillary sinus lift
For some patients, before putting implants in the upper jaw, it is necessary to rebuild the bottom of the maxillary sinus. Lifting of the maxillary sinus is a surgical procedure that requires great precision. The standard procedure in our clinic is planned based on the computed tomography. For the sake of security and to obtain the desired effects, the doctor works with a microscope normally used in medicine in neurosurgical procedures. High magnification minimizes incision of tissue, which further provides better healing after the surgery. The maxillary sinus lift creates a suitable basis for a subsequent implantation.
