What can you eat and what you should forgot when carrying braces?
Fixed appliances do not mean big sacrifices when it comes to a diet
The following food should be avoided:
- gels, chewing gums, hard or soft candies, for example toffi
- hard buns, for example, baguettes
- hard, raw fruit and vegetables
- sweet soda drinks
- nuts, chips, popcorn
You can eat without problems:
- soft cheese and yoghourts
- sweet bread, cakes
- rice and pastas
- cooked, soft vegetables, also soft fruits
A good way is to cut food into smaller pieces, easier to chew. You should be extremely careful when you have new locks or replaced bows. Replace then the hard bread and raw vegetables for soft dairy products, eggs and minced meat.
